The short version. ShowMe is a personal TV-show tracker. It works entirely on your
device without an account, and when it does store data in the cloud, it's only your own library and
the things you choose to post. We don't run ads, we don't sell your data, and we don't track you
across other apps or websites.
Who we are
ShowMe ("ShowMe", "we", "us") is a mobile application operated by Theta Wave. This
policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. If anything here is unclear, email us

What we collect, and why
If you don't sign in, nothing leaves your device. Your tracked shows, watched
episodes, and ratings are stored locally on your phone. You can use almost the entire app this way.
When you sign in (to back up and sync your data or to comment), we collect:
- Account identifier. Your email address, or the private relay address Apple
provides if you use Sign in with Apple. Used only to authenticate you and recover your account.
- Your library and activity. The shows you track, the episodes you mark watched
(with timestamps), your watch progress, and your ratings — so we can back them up and sync them
across your devices.
- Comments and media. The text, photos, and GIFs you post on episodes.
Comments and their images are public — visible to other signed-in users. Don't post
anything you wouldn't want others to see.
- Notification token. If you turn on new-episode alerts, a device push token so we
can deliver them. You can turn this off any time in Settings.
We do not collect your contacts, location, browsing history, or advertising
identifiers, and we don't use third-party analytics or advertising SDKs.
How we use your information
- To provide the core app: tracking, "Up Next", stats, and your release calendar.
- To back up your library and sync it across your devices when you're signed in.
- To send the new-episode notifications you opt into.
- To operate comments and to moderate abuse (see below).
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising or
cross-app/website tracking. We will not ask Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission because we
don't track you.
Service providers we rely on
We share the minimum necessary with a small set of processors that help run the app:
- Supabase — hosts our database, authentication, and file storage. Your synced
library, comments, and account live here, protected by per-user access rules.
- Apple — Sign in with Apple, and delivery of push notifications via APNs.
- Expo — helps deliver push notifications to your device.
- The Movie Database (TMDB) — provides show and episode information and images. When
you search or open a show, your query and the show's ID are sent to TMDB; your identity is not.
- GIPHY — only if you search for a GIF to attach to a comment, your search terms are
sent to GIPHY to return results.
This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB.
Public comments and moderation
Comments are a public, social feature. To keep them safe we filter obvious abuse, let anyone report a
comment (comments are automatically hidden after multiple reports), let you block another user so you
never see their posts, and let you delete your own comments. We act on reports promptly. Do not post
illegal, hateful, harassing, or explicit content.
Keeping your data, and deleting it
We keep your data while your account is active. You are in control:
- Delete your account in the app — Settings → Delete account. This permanently
removes your synced library, ratings, comments, and profile.
- You can also email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data.
- Signing out or deleting the app removes the local copy from your device.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR in Europe or CCPA/CPRA in California), you may
have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain
processing. We honor these rights for all users. To exercise them, use the in-app deletion or email
geremybass@gmail.com. We do not sell personal information.
Children
ShowMe is rated 12+ and is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect
personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and
we'll delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, and access to your cloud data is restricted to your own account. No
system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and limit what we store.
International users
We're based in the United States, and your information may be processed there and in other countries
where our providers operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for these transfers.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We'll revise the "Last updated" date above and, for
material changes, provide notice in the app.
